In 2005, after 27 years of marriage, Carrie and Ed DeLorge began taking ballroom dance lessons as a leisure time activity. It didn’t take long for them to experience the benefits of dance in both their social life and in their health. Since then they have competed in many State, Regional and National Competitions. In 2015, Ed and Carrie cinched a first place in Bronze Fox Trot at USA Dance National DanceSport in Baltimore, along with a third place on the National Stage in Bronze Waltz. Recently Retired from Terrebonne Parish School District and as the new owner of Studio 371, Carrie has combined her two passions, education and dance, to promote the benefits of social and ballroom to the young and young at heart. To accomplish this mission, Carrie and Ed have been instrumental in bringing Dancing Classrooms to Terrebonne schools. They also have been helping others discover the hidden gem in the heart of downtown Houma, Studio 371. As new owners, they extent a sincere welcome to everyone and hope to see you join them on the dance floor.
Carrie specializes in basic ballroom for the social dancer.As a competitive dancer she has won numerous awards on the local, regional and national circuit. Her belief that the joy of dance should not be limited to those who strive for the gold, but also for those who are tired of sitting on the sidelines of life at receptions, festivals, and community events
Brad has been teaching partner dance for over 30 years. He is also the “go-to” guy for other dance professionals when they want some fine tuning. Brad currently attends and continues to win awards and titles at dance competitions throughout the country.
Studio 371 its delighted to have Jesse Theriot join our staff. Jesse Theriot, originally from Houma, spent years as an Arthur Murray instructor in Florida. He has returned home and has joined our staff. Jess
